Kinsmen Duck Pond Lake Cowichan
Sponsored by the local Kinsmen Club, ‘The Duck Pond’ is Lake Cowichan’s answer to the local swimming pool. Situated just after the control weir for the Cowichan River, ‘The Duck Pond’ is a great swimming hole especially if you have small kids. There is a small raft here plus it is a good starting point if you’re tubing down the Cowichan River.

Lakeview Beach Park Lake Cowichan
The is located at the east end of Lake Cowichan, one of the largest freshwater lakes on Vancouver Island. It is also next to the town of Lake Cowichan, a small town with approximately 3,000 local residents. While it is just steps away from the restaurants and shops, the beach serves as a very popular site for boating, hiking and camping. The beach is big, soft and sandy, with the peaceful waterfront, which attracts people from the surrounding areas.

Central Park Honeymoon Bay
Central Park is located in the community of Honeymoon Bay on Vancouver Island. The park extends to the waterfront of Cowichan Lake, here there is beach access and a roped off swimming area. Other amenities in the park include a picnic area, playground, trail, tennis courts, basketball court, toilet facilities (in the Hall), and a off leash-dog park. Parking is available just adjacent to the beach access area.

Lily Beach Park Honeymoon Bay Lily
Beach Park is located on Cowichan lake in Honeymoon Bay, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The beach is a rocky/sandy beach, with a roped in swimming area and floating dock. The park is well known for the Pink fawn Lilies that can only be found at two other sites in BC. The blooming period is mid-April to early May. Amenities include a picnic area, trails, and toilet facilities. There is parking located at the end of Beach Drive .

Bear Lake Park Mesachie Lake
Beautiful Bear Lake Park is located near Cowichan lake in the town of Mesachie Lake. It is home to a large sandy beach, and is a great place place to go and spend a day swimming and relaxing. Amenities include an enclosed swimming area, a diving board, a wharf, a boat launch, and toilet facilities. Parking is located at the end of Fish Road, and the Beach is also accessible by public transit.

Glenora Riverside Park
Shawnigan Wharf Park
Enjoy a lovely day at the beach at Shawnigan Wharf Park located minutes from downtown Shawnigan Village. This park has one of two boat launches located on Shawnigan Lake along with a public wharf. This 1.23 hectare park offers a sandy beach with an enclosed swimming area, a volleyball court, picnic area, and seasonal portable toilet facilities. There is a parking lot with trailer parking available. This park is close to a public transit stop.
2720 Heald Road. To get here turn west off the Trans-Canada Highway onto Shawnigan Lake/Mill Bay Road. Go straight through the intersection then left onto Heald Road and right onto Thrush Road.
Elsie Miles Park/Dougan Park
Elsie Miles Park/Dougan Park is in beautiful Shawnigan Lake and is located adjacent to the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre and close to the village centre. For more information please go to the Elsie Miles Park/Dougan Park page.
Masons Beach Park
Masons Beach Park is located just a short walk from the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre and downtown Shawnigan village. This 0.7 hectare park offers a sandy beach with a swimming area along with picnic tables and a picnic shelter. There are change rooms and seasonal toilet facilities available as well. This park is also located near a public transit stop.
1840 Renfrew Road, Shawnigan Lake. To get here go west off the Trans-Canada Highway onto Hutchinson Road, left onto Shawnigan Lake/Cobble Hill Road, right onto Renfrew Road and the park is immediately on the left. To access parking turn left on to Renfrew Road then an immediate left again into the parking lot.
Williams River Park
This is a small creekside park with a grassy area for relaxing and an area for picnicking. There is a public parking lot as well as a public transit stop nearby.
2850 Shawnigan Lake Road, Shawnigan Lake. To get here turn west off the Trans-Canada Highway onto Shawnigan Lake/Cobble Hill Road. On the right hand side just after the Black Swan Pub you will find the 0.26 hectare park situated along the edge of Shawnigan Creek within walking distance of Masons Beach Park.
Cowichan Bay Public Waterfront
Hecate Park
Hecate park, located at 1865 Cowichan Bay Road, Cowichan Bay, is the jewel of the bay. The park is located beside the Cowichan Bay Boat Launch, the Cowichan Bay Estuary Nature Centre and the Cowichan Bay Marine Gateway. This 2.51 hectare park offers a public beach with picnic area as well as a wildlife viewing tower and toilet facilities. Public parking and public transit are also available.
Mill Bay Community Wharf in Mill Bay
The Mill Bay Community Wharf is located in Mill Bay at the end of Keir Road, there is a gazebo and a lovely beach for your pleasure.
Cobble Hill
Cherry Point Nature Park is an ocean waterfront park with stunning views across the channel to Separation Point and Saltspring Island. This beach is teeming with life and offers many nature viewing opportunities.
Manley Creek Park is located near Cherry Point Beach in Cobble Hill. Trails through this park lead to the beach with numerous bridge crossings over Manley Creek. Within the park are several picnic areas and stunning ocean views. Granfield Way, in Cobble Hill, is a trail connecting Aros Road to Manley Creek Park. Please be respectful of the private property on both sides of the trail.
Glenora Riverside Park This park is accessed from both Glenora and Sahtlam, and is situated on the north and south side of the Cowichan River. The park consists of walking trails and access to the river.
