Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Rollin Art Centre features work by local & regional artists. Tea is served on the Terrace during the summer months. Open year-round, visitors will enjoy its ever-changing he Rollin Art Centre was established in 1977 and is currently the home of the Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley. The Rollin Art Centre sits on 4 city lots that include three gardens, which are a showpiece for the community, an Art gallery for visual art exhibits, and a gift shop which offers a variety of local arts and crafts created by over 150 local artisans. The grounds and gardens were developed in 1987 and feature a formal garden, a classical fountain and elegant balustrade, a traditional Japanese garden, a terrace and gazebo, a children’s garden and a native plant garden. We are open year round , Tuesday – Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm, wheelchair accessible and admission is free but donations are accepted.
Some of our events and programming include: 10-12 art exhibits, Teas on the Terrace, Summer art programs for children, youth and teen writing workshops, adult art programs, giant book sales, garden tours, Days with the arts, the Solstice Arts Festival, Celebration of Lights festival, weddings , book launches and much more.
