An event every week that begins at 5:30pm on Wednesday, repeating until February 26
Uniquely Hawaiian, hula is the telling of stories through dance and song. Hula helps to ease tension and stress. Many Hawaiian songs are about nature; the waves, wind, flowers, rain, mountains, etc. Visualizing and interpreting the words with movement can mentally transport you to, and connect you with nature. Hula is a mind-body-spirit experience.
Group classes for women’s hula will be held at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre in the OAP Room. This is an open level class where the pace is set by the students. Class size is limited to 10 participants. Newcomers welcome! Save money by registering for the series or drop-in for $13. Call Leimana at (604) 809-1029.
