“Blue is the color of longing for the distances you never arrive in…”
– Rebecca Solnit, A Field Guide for Getting Lost
Blurring the line between analogue and digital photography, Zoey Clare utilizes one of the earliest forms of photography to create ethereal cyanotypes from digital photographs. The works are a reflection on longing, memory and the places and distances in which we never quite arrive.
Zoey’s cyanotypes are accompanied by poetic reflections by Executive Director and curator, Illana Hester.
