Event: Free Event – Summer Social with the CV Hort. Society

Date: Saturday, August 19, 2023

Time: 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Location: Gardens on Anderton, 2012 Anderton Road, Comox (Located behind the Anderton Nursery – drive through the Nursery parking lot to the gardens behind)

Activities: There will be lots of fun and interesting activities for the whole family:

• MARS Ambassador Owl presentation and information
• Bonsi display
• Flower arranging – some will be purple flowers, in support of the Canadian Year of the Garden 2023: The power of Purple!
• Leslie Cox, aka “The Duchess of Dirt”, will be there to talk and demonstrate all things gardening!
• Master Gardeners in attendance to answer all of your gardening questions….bring your mystery plant photos for identification!
• Contests and prizes of a horticultural nature
• Children’s garden and craft activities

Refreshments: Refreshments and light snacks will be available as self-serve.

This is a “come as you are” and a “rain or shine” event for the whole family! If you have visiting friends or relatives, please bring them along. This event is also open to the public, who are invited to join us free of charge, to explore all that the Comox Valley Horticultural Society has to offer!
