Ladysmith Fine Craft Show 2022 Call For Submissions

An event every week that begins at 12:00 am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until April 15, 2022

The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District invites established and emerging fine artisans and artists living and working on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to apply for participation in our first biennial juried Fine Craft Show.
Artisans and artists can submit up to three pieces of 2D and 3D artwork until April 15, 2022 at midnight. The work will be juried and accepted artists will be contacted to take part in the Ladysmith Fine Craft Show 2022 which takes place online (www.ladysmitharts.ca) and in-person at 444 Parkhill Terrace, Ladysmith BC. The exhibition will run from May 6 – 30, 2022.
Our jurors for this event are Jason Gress, a Nanaimo based artist who maintains an object based sculptural practice and teaches visual arts at Vancouver Island University. Coreen Zerr is a fibre artist and instructor living in Nanaimo BC and Cam Russell who founded the Fine Furniture Program at Camosun College and works in his studio Coventry Woodworks. Sitting down for a Zoom interview, each juror gave some insight into what they hope to see in the submissions they receive.
