Kids Summer Arts Camp: Things with Wings
July 18 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

In this four-day visual arts camp, participants will be invited to find inspiration from nature and beyond. From dragons to dragonflies, we will study all sorts of winged creatures. Half of each day will be spent in creating vivid 2-D art projects with Josslyn Meyers, and the other half of each day will cover exciting 3-D clay art projects with Jennifer O’Brien. Both instructors bring with them a wealth of experience as arts educators and artists. Students can expect to come away with a strengthened sense of creative self-expression and a fresh appreciation for the imaginative fun and possibilities of making art. Open to children 6 – 12 years old.
Each participant is asked to bring their own lunch, water bottle, and clothes that they can get a little paint and glue on.
Note:
If your child requires additional one-on-one support, they are welcome to attend with a responsible helper. On a case-by-case basis, providing a responsible helper may be a requirement for participation. Please contact the education coordinator at education@ladysmitharts.ca or 250-245-1252 to discuss the unique needs of your child.
