The Comox Valley Glacier Grannies are pleased to present Art From The Attic on Earth Day weekend. Select from hundreds of pieces of upcycled art from near and far, from numbered prints by local artists to Japanese wood prints and African batiks. Treasures and bargains for every budget and taste include photography, fibre art, needlepoint, stained glass, and more. Proceeds will benefit the Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Through local grassroots organizations, grandmothers in sub-Saharan Africa are supported as they raise their grandchildren, orphaned in the HIV&AIDS pandemic. Unsold art will be marked half price on Monday.
