An Evening with John Adams and Gail Kirkpatrick

The Sidney and Peninsula Literary Society will host its first author reading with authors John Adams and Gail Kirkpatrick who will be reading from and discussing their latest books.
John Adams, well-known local historian, is the author of seven books. His most recent is Chinese Victoria: A Long and Difficult Journey. It is the recipient of awards from the BC Historical Federation, the Chinese Canadian Historical Society of BC and the Hallmark Heritage Society. In addition to writing, John has had a career in the field of museums and heritage sites that has spanned more than fifty years in Ontario and British Columbia.

After receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria, Gail Kirkpatrick completed her M.A. in writing at Lancaster University where she explored the parallel and converging lines of memory, shared history, and landscape. Her writing has been published in various literary and trade magazines in Canada and the UK, and Sleepers and Ties is her first novel. She currently resides in Victoria, BC.
