4th Annual African Connections – Celebrating Black History Month

Crimson Coast Dance announces our 4th Annual African Connections – Celebrating Black History Month, February 2024, curated by Mozambican cultural activist, educator on dances from Africa, and founder of Afro Fusion Sharqi Dance™, Tania Amaral.

African Connections offers cultural engagements with a North African focus, woven around dance workshops on February 4th and a featured performance of What The Day Owes to the Night by globally-acclaimed Compagnie Hervé Koubi, in a co-presentation between Crimson Coast Dance MainStage Series and the Port Theatre Spotlight Series, February 5th at 7:30PM.

Join us all month long for activities dedicated to the authentic expression of African cultures!

Celebrate Africa Fair: This open market experience immerses you in the flavours, rhythms, and cultures of Nanaimo’s Black and African communities
