Venture off the Island Highway to check out Duncan’s cozy and quaint downtown for some shopping or sight-seeing, and then pop into the Craig Street Brewpub for a meal and a beer. This attractive, multi-level building dating back to the 1940s has lots of different options for dining, whether it’s the downstairs pub with its beautiful, antique bar, the streetside patio, or the rooftop deck upstairs. There is a wood-burning fireplace to keep you warm on a dreary day and plenty of great food options on the extensive menu. Look for live, local musicians and other special events throughout the week. We are located in the seaside town of Chemainus, BC, famous for it’s murals and inexplicably badass skate park.

Our Labels: Jimbo is the son of Jim Phillips, the creator of all of the artwork for iconic brand Santa Cruz Skateboards in the 70s and 80s, including the famous Screaming Hand logo. Now he carries on his dad’s legacy, creating bold, impactful graphics for a variety of media. Including, of course, skateboards.

From deep in our mountain spring comes the cleanest, freshest water for our Salt Spring Island Ales. Piped straight from the spring into the brew house, this gorgeous water is combined with organic Canadian two row pale malt and other natural ingredients to create a lineup of distinctly Island-made ales.
Whenever possible, we source local ingredients such as island grown hops, honey and heather. Our highly flavourful beers pair wonderfully with good food and are the perfect accompaniment to locally-sourced gastronomic fare. Brewed entirely by hand, our beer is made in small batches using traditional, unhurried methods.
